~ ~ ~ PURPOSE OF OUR ORGANIZATION ~ ~ ~

To provide information and support to the parents or guardians of U.S. Naval Academy appointees, Midshipmen, USNA Preparatory School and Foundation students, and graduates.

Assist in enhancing the image of the U.S. Navy and U.S. Naval Academy in the North Texas area.

In cooperation with local recruiters and alumni, to assist in promoting interest in and assist with recruiting for the U.S. Naval Academy amongst young men and women in North Texas.

To provide fellowship among the parents of young men and women affiliated with the U.S. Naval Academy programs.

To provide a Welcome Aboard function for new appointees each year, participate in an all-Academy Holiday Ball and other social events as indicated.





~ ~ ~ MEMBERSHIP ~ ~ ~


The U.S. Naval Academy Parents' Club of North Texas has four levels of membership:


Regular Membership

Open to any parent or guardian of a current U.S. Naval Academy appointee, Midshipman, student attending the USNA Preparatory School, or foundation program attendee, who now resides in the North Texas area (including the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and its suburbs), or who resided there at the time of appointment.


Associate Membership

Open to any present or former North Texas parent or guardian of a U.S. Naval Academy graduate, who now reside in the North Texas area (including the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and its suburbs), or resided there while the graduate attended the academy.


Affiliated Membership

Open to any other interested parties, who wish to receive the club newsletter or receive other benefits from the club, or have other interests in the club (e.g., Alumni Association officers, Blue and Gold officers, etc.)


Honorary Membership

Honorary membership shall be offered to USNA Parent Program Coordinator, Area Coordinator(s), and others, as deemed by the Board.

Shoremate Program - Shoremates are parents who are designed to help Plebe parent families during their first year. Your shoremate will be available to provide support, assist with questions or offer a shoulder to lean upon during this challenging period for parents.

Website Access - NAPCNT members are provided with access to the members only, password protected area of the club website -
http://www.USNA-NTX.org.

Poop Deck - The official publication of the North Texas club. The newsletter is distributed to all members listed and is published 6 times per year.

Membership Roster - A membership roster is provided to all members at no cost on an annual basis.

Army-Navy Game Party - This party is held every year on game day. Attended by members of the West Point Parents' Club of Dallas, the Naval Academy Parents' Club, and the local alumni associations, it always provides an exciting day.

Dark Ages Party - This event is focused around preparing "C.A.R.E. packages" for our Midshipmen during the "Dark Ages" in January of each year.

Special Programs - Each meeting we strive to have a speaker or program of interest to Navy parents.
